Post a Tweet from within Deep Ogon™

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

So, if you tweet about data, is that called “twata”?

We’ve added a new feature within Deep Ogon™ that allows you to post a link to a Data Page up to your Twitter account.

It works like this: you are in Deep Ogon™ and you’ve discovered some interesting trend in the data. You’ve filtered the data down and came to a meaningful Bar Chart you want to share with folks. Click on the “twitter” link above the data results. A small window will open that allows you to directly create a tweet to Twitter. The link back to DeepOgon.com has already been converted into a TinyURL for you.

It’s very handy.

Deep Ogon - Blogging with Numbers

Carp Data launches the website DeepOgon.com – Blogging with Numbers!

Deep Ogon™ is a free public website with a collection of fun and interesting statistics from around the world.  We call it “Blogging with Numbers.”  The idea started as a fun side project for us.  We wanted to demonstrate our data analysis software engine with something more than the typical “Widget Company” fake data.  We started collecting data sets from around the internet to load into our software.  We soon noticed how fun it would be to share this data with everyone, let them make comments, rate their favorites, and so on.

Deep Ogon™ has evolved into sort of a wikipedia of statistics.  The site also allows anyone to upload and host their own statistics on the website.  We’re constantly adding data content to the site.  If you have any suggestion for data sources, please drop us a line.
